Musical Career

Raised in a family of pastors, Kaydee Numbere's musical journey began at the tender age of 5, singing in the church choir. His music is deeply influenced by three pivotal figures he affectionately calls his "musical fathers": Apostle Geoffery Dabibi Numbere (late), Spike Shebra (late), and Fred Hammond.

The third child of Apostle Geoffrey Numbere, he credits his love for highlife to his dad who wrote the famous Nigerian Chorus “oh sing oh sing oh praise the Lord”. His creativity he credits to his mentor, Spike Shebra, a Ghanaian by birth but lived in Nigeria since the late 70’s. Spike Shebra, was the leader of Apostle G. D. Numbere’s gospel band from the early ‘80’s till his retirement in the 90’s. Kaydee Numbere first met him when he was 8 and Spike Shebra began formal mentorship under him at 16. Kaydee demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and was appointed Choir Director for the Teens/Children's Church at just 14. By the age of 15, he was leading the Adult Choir, which consisted of about 150 members. Over the years, he has mentored emerging talents in Nigeria, including Prinx Emmanuel and Sotiee.

Additionally, Fred Hammond has been a lifelong icon and inspiration for Kaydee, shaping his singing style since his teenage years.
